Information
The sample material required for testing only needs to be about the size of a pin head.
All EZ Tests use a chemical reagent absorbed in silica gel, which is held inside a glass ampoule - this is not always in liquid form.
When a sample is added to these chemicals inside the ampoule and a reaction occurs a colour change will take place. This colour should be compared to the colour chart included in the instructions within the package to give an indication as what could be in the sample.
See a colour that is shown on the chart?
This means the sample contains some of the substance (-family) indicated on the colour chart. It does NOT mean the sample is "pure". There could be something else in it that wasn't detected by the test. It does not mean the sample is "safe". No drug is completely safe, even if it is pure. This test will not tell you how much of the substance is in the sample.
See a different colour than shown on the chart, or no colour reaction at all?
This means that you are definately not dealing with any of the substances indicated on the colour chart. In this case, you cannot determine what substance is present. It may be harmless, but it may be extremely dangerous! In this situation, it is safest to throw the substance away.
